Margaret M. Mullally has extensive experience as a Research Scientist and Manager of multidisciplinary and international research programs within the biopharmaceutical and medical domains. Margaret is Senior Business Development Manager at PHARMO Institute for Drug Outcomes Research, based in the Netherlands, an independent scientific research services organization providing integrated patient database and professional analysis services across a range of pharmacotherapeutic areas. Margaret received her PhD in Protein Biochemistry from the School of Biotechnology, Dublin City University, Ireland, in 1996. She subsequently held postdoctoral positions at the Molecular Genetics and Pharmaceutical Biology departments at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Her 10 years of research made her an expert in therapeutic protein and peptide drug engineering, design, and preclinical evaluation and coordination of Phase I studies. She is author of several scientific peer-reviewed publications and holds an international patent covering cytokine design. Margaret has been successful in the promotion of academic-industrial partnerships and the establishment of international scientific collaborations at the Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Science, the Netherlands. She earned her MBA degree from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, the Netherlands, in 2008. She provides strategic advice on research and development pipeline and market strategies for the biopharmaceutical industry.
